This is not a political fight; it is a moral one. Our approach is grounded in love, conviction, and an unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child in Texas grows up in a state that values and protects them. Together, we can make Texas a place where children are free to thrive and fulfill their God-given potential.
Safeguarding Innocence
Biblical Truth
Healing and Hope
strengthening families
We hold to a Biblical view of gender and sexuality as stated in Genesis 1. We believe that every man and woman is made in the image of God and therefore unique in their biology, anatomy, and function. These distinct identities and roles cannot be socially redefined or medically reassigned.
We affirm and celebrate the good and beautiful design of God as seen in His creation of male and female, advocating for children to grow up in environments free of harmful influences that seek to confuse their sense of biological reality and personal identity.
We believe that sex and gender are intrinsically linked from the moment of conception and that every human life is sacred, purposeful, and meaningful.
Protecting Texas Children recognizes that some children may suffer from gender confusion, dysphoria, and other issues, but we believe that affirming a child’s confusion by starting them down a path of harmful medical treatments and procedures will ultimately lead to irreversible damage, infertility, sexual dysfunction, and lifelong regret.
Instead, we believe that a child should receive help, hope, and healing from truly loving caregivers who will reinforce biological truth and seek to understand and treat the underlying root cause of the child’s gender confusion.
Protecting Texas Children is dedicated to preserving the innocence and protecting the future of all Texas children.
PTC President Vanessa Sivadge is a seasoned pediatric nurse who is trained to provide medical care and look after the well-being of children. Vanessa was thrust into the controversial world of gender ideology when she made the courageous decision to expose Texas Children’s Hospital for illegally using Medicaid funds for cross-sex hormone treatments and transgender procedures for minors. As a result, she was dismissed from Texas Children’s Hospital, questioned by the FBI, and intimidated by left-wing media.
However, Vanessa has remained steadfast. Her collaboration with journalist Christopher Rufo in 2024 brought crucial attention to the unethical practices she uncovered. Vanessa’s commitment to upholding a Biblical perspective on gender and sexuality, her knowledge and experience as a medical professional, and her devotion to the health and well-being of all children make her well-suited for her role as President of Protecting Texas Children.
Vanessa founded PTC because she was passionate about confronting these vital issues. Through her leadership, she continues to advocate for a future where every child can grow in a safe, nurturing environment free from radical gender ideologies. Empowered and resolute, Vanessa actively engages with communities across Texas, aiming to inspire collective action and foster positive legislative changes to protect the next generation of Texans.
