Vanessa Testifies for Legislation Defending Families From the Transgender Cult

In a powerful testimony in favor of HB 1106, Vanessa stated that Child Protective Services (CPS) can, and will, take children out of their homes and put them into foster care if a parent does not affirm their child’s false gender identity.

HB 1106 would amend the family code to state that a parent who refuses to affirm a child’s sexual orientation cannot be accused of child abuse, preventing the misuse of CPS investigations against parents acting in their child’s best interests based on their own values and beliefs.

Critics dismiss the need for such legislation. However, the heartbreaking stories shared at the hearing proved otherwise.

Levi and Sharmila Kerwin are living through the nightmare of losing their child to CPS and the transgender cult. The couple told their story of how CPS ripped their daughter out of their loving home and put her in foster care because they would not affirm their daughter’s false gender identity and call her preferred name and pronouns.

Protecting Texas Children President Vanessa Sivadge testified as well, sharing the story of Desiree Thomas, a Texas mother who would not affirm her son’s preferred female name, pronouns, and behavior.

A psychiatrist reported her to CPS, accusing her of denying her son “medically recommended care.” Desiree would not give her child puberty blockers, and for this, the psychiatrist accused her of child abuse. Her son was influenced by therapists, medical professionals, and school officials who promoted his false gender ideology.

If passed, HB 1106 would support PTC’s mission to safeguard the innocence of every child by affirming biological truth.

Vanessa Joins Dr. Simone Gold to Discuss the Crucial Role of Whistleblowers in Today’s Society

PTC President Vanessa Sivadge was a guest on The Gold Report, hosted by Dr. Simone Gold, the outspoken physician who became famous during the COVID era for recommending alternative medications. They discussed Vanessa’s story and the importance of speaking out against harmful treatments like cross-sex hormones and gender transition procedures, especially on minors. Vanessa explained how doctors were engaging in emotional blackmail by telling parents that their children would harm themselves or worse if they did not receive gender transition treatments.

Texas Children’s Hospital kept this program secret from the public and lawmakers, even removing all traces of it from its website. Without Vanessa’s willingness to speak out, the hospital would have continued profiting off the abuse of children. Dr. Gold reminded viewers that Vanessa’s story demonstrates how close we are to tyranny. Human nature is to take the path of least resistance, not speak up, not rock the boat, making the role of the whistleblower critical in our society. Dr. Gold told Vanessa, “You are not the first, you won’t be the last, but you are a member of a very small band of human beings.”

PTC Priorities Amplified By Marjorie Taylor Greene

The Protect Children’s Innocence Act, which bans sex changes for kids under 18, has been reintroduced in Congress by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. This act also prohibits any federal dollars or resources from being used to pay for or facilitate sex change procedures. If passed, it would codify President Trump’s executive order that prohibits surgeries, puberty blockers, and hormone therapies for minors.

Greene first introduced this legislation in 2022 with support from Chloe Cole, a prominent detransitioner and political activist. The bill explicitly excludes mental health disorders as medical exemption qualifications.

While the bill has support from more than 35 House Republicans, its support in the Senate remains unknown. Its passage will be a bold step in ending the barbaric practice of child mutilation, permanently banning sex change procedures on minors in the United States, and making it illegal to cross state lines to receive these procedures.

Protecting Texas Children fully supports the Protect Children’s Innocence Act and is thrilled to have the U.S. Congress support our priority legislation at the federal level.
