Protecting Texas Children President Vanessa Sivadge was invited to speak on Andy Frecka’s podcast, The Desert Voice, about sounding the alarm on Texas Children’s Hospital.
She discussed her motivation for exposing the medical industry’s exploitation of vulnerable children and what the Texas legislature is doing about it. She also offered encouragement to people witnessing corruption in their industries and advice to parents with struggling children.
Vanessa told her story about how she was fired from Texas Children’s Hospital after revealing that the hospital was committing Medicaid fraud and using taxpayer dollars to fund cross-sex hormone treatments for minors.
She tells the heartbreaking truth about how the medical industry takes advantage of children already by telling them that puberty blockers and hormones will cure their confusion.
Vanessa explained that she always wanted to advocate for the protection of children. Now, instead of doing that in a hospital, she is doing it even more effectively in the halls of the Texas Capitol.
When asked what she would say to a listener with a child in their life struggling with gender confusion, Vanessa advised,
“Listen, be compassionate. They are just now finding the courage to tell you about it. Do not affirm a lie, do not affirm their confusion, do not affirm their delusion. There is a way to do that that is still loving.”
When asked what her dream for Texas is, Vanessa explained, “Ultimately, I just want to keep kids safe, and that is the purpose of my organization, Protecting Texas Children.”
