Pride Month Declines in Texas, FBI Seeks Reports on Child Gender Procedures, and Texas Law Defines Biological Sex

Pride Month Losing Steam?

June is typically designated as “Pride Month” across the United States, but there is a growing sentiment that the tradition is losing popularity. The Mayor of Taylor, Texas, has officially stated that he will not give the traditional “Pride Month” proclamation. Similarly, in Denton, TX, a college town known for eccentricities, Mayor Hudspeth has not given his traditional “Pride Proclamation.” In response, his office shared that the Mayor has “passed on this opportunity at this time.”

PTC views these developments as positive signs. Mayor Hudspeth is planning to run for the Denton County Commissioners Court Precinct 4 seat as a Republican. We are pleased to see that the Mayor realizes that to seek higher office, he must distance himself from the destructive and perverted LGBT movement.

PTC remains committed to protecting our children from sexual public displays during “Pride Month,” especially at festivals and parades. We applaud these mayors for their small, yet positive steps in the right direction.

FBI Urges Public to Report Child Mutilation Disguised as Gender Affirming Care

The FBI has called on the public to report hospitals that are breaking the law by mutilating children under the guise of gender affirming care. So far, the FBI has received more than 100 tips.

This public request comes as the Trump administration intensifies its focus on practices within the medical industry. The FBI says the appeal is part of a broader effort to involve citizens in protecting children from harmful and irreversible interventions.

Chloe Cole, a well-known detransitioner who received transgender medical treatments as a minor, filed a lawsuit against the healthcare providers who pushed her down that path. She argued that due to her age, mental state, and the pressure she faced from doctors, she could not properly provide informed consent for the procedures.

In January, President Trump signed an executive order aimed at preventing minors from undergoing irreversible transition procedures.
State Rep. Mitch Little responded to the FBI’s request on the platform X, saying, “We went from indicting people for providing this information to soliciting it.” He tagged Dr. Eithan Haim and PTC President Vanessa Sivadge.

Texas Defines Male and Female

The Texas Legislature passed HB 229, which formally defines men and women and requires the state to adhere to the biological definition of the two sexes. This legislation will protect single sex spaces like locker rooms.

PTC applauds the passage of this legislation because it solidifies the recognition of two sexes in Texas law, preventing changes by public school districts or local governments. It satisfies PTC’s mission of affirming biological truth and reality.

The Trump administration is promoting a more traditional understanding of sex and gender, and Texas has taken steps to follow their example.

Once this law is enacted, it will require state and local governments to apply the biological sex of individuals instead of the preferred sex. Governor Abbott has expressed support for this legislation, which will be enacted on September 1 of this year.

PTC is pleased to see our priorities implemented, and we are delighted by the governor’s and legislature’s commitment to passing this law.
