Vanessa Sivadge to Testify in D.C. Hearing About Whistleblower Prosecution

April 8, 2025

Dr. Eithan Haim is a hero who sacrificed everything to blow the whistle, saving children from a hospital intent on harming them. For his efforts, he was dragged through an expensive legal battle and was threatened with up to ten years in prison for blowing the whistle.

Dr. Haim was a doctor at Texas Children’s Hospital and, after realizing that his hospital was prescribing gender hormone pills and performing mutilation procedures on children, he put an end to it by providing carefully redacted patient documents for evidence.

He was accused of violating HIPPA and threatened with up to ten years in prison by the Biden administration’s Department of Justice. Fortunately, the Trump administration threw out his case with prejudice so charges could never be filed against him again.

Despite a lengthy, stressful, and expensive legal battle, Dr. Haim and his wife said, “If you ask either of us, we would do it again in a heartbeat.”

The U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government, chaired by Congressman Jim Jordan, has invited Dr. Haim and the pediatric nurse who blew the whistle with him, PTC President Vanessa Sivadge, to testify in Washington, D.C. They have also invited the lead prosecutor in Dr. Haim’s case, Tina Ansari, to testify.

Their testimony will provide information that will inform legislative reforms aimed at enhancing civil liberties, combatting conflicts of interest, prohibiting the weaponization of the Department of Justice, and protecting children.

The Texas Legislature just listened to testimony last week on Senate Bill 2043, which would protect healthcare professionals who report violations from retaliation. Dr. Eithan Haim and nurse Vanessa Sivadge are examples of why legislation like this is important.

Vanessa said about SB 2043 in regards to Dr. Haim, “A corrupt and weaponized Department of Justice targeted me for my beliefs, but it was Eithan Haim who faced 10 years in prison for refusing to bend the knee to radical transgender ideology.”

By passing this legislation, Texas can lead the way in ensuring that healthcare providers are able to fulfil their oaths of protecting their patients.
