One of Governor Abbott’s requests for the Special Session was for lawmakers to take further steps to protect the unborn. Additionally, some teachers are declaring they won’t follow the new law requiring the Ten Commandments to be displayed in the classroom.

Texas introduced a bill that would allow individuals to sue manufacturers and distributors of abortion pills. The latest version of the bill, filed by State Senator Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola), allows citizens to file a wrongful death lawsuit if the pills result in the “harm or death” of a mother or an unborn child.
